Data we process
Enquiries about groups and tastings
When you send an enquiry, we process the data you provide, for example name, email address, phone number, date, number of guests and what you write in the message.
The data is used solely to answer and handle your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is stored with Get a Newsletter, the service we use to send newsletters. You confirm your sign-up through a link in an email, and we use the address to send news about tastings, events and new casks. The legal basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in every newsletter.
Signing up for events
If you sign up for a tasting or an event by email, we process the data you provide in order to confirm and hold your place.
Table bookings
Table bookings are made via BokaBord, which opens in an embedded window on the website and may set its own cookies. BokaBord is responsible for the data you provide there under its own terms and privacy policy.
If you book by phone or email, we process the data you provide in order to receive and hold the booking.
Cookies and web statistics
The website uses necessary cookies in order to function, and they need no consent. Analytics cookies are only set after you give your consent in the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the About cookies link at the bottom of the page. Some pages embed third-party content that may set its own cookies, and external services you open in a new window manage their own cookies.
Who can access the data
The data is handled by staff at Ardbeg Embassy who need it in their work.
In addition, it may be processed by our providers of web hosting, email, newsletter and booking services, as data processors acting on our instructions. We never sell your data.
The contact page shows a map from Google Maps, which may set its own cookies and process data in accordance with Google's policy.
The menu page can show the beer list from Untappd. It loads only after you have accepted analytics cookies. Untappd then sets its own cookies and sends data about the page view to the analytics service Segment. Untappd processes this data in accordance with its own policy.
Some providers may process data outside the EU and EEA, in which case the transfer takes place with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
How long we keep the data
We keep data for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. An enquiry is kept while we handle it and for a limited time afterwards.
A newsletter sign-up is kept until you unsubscribe. Records that count as accounting material are kept for as long as the Swedish Bookkeeping Act requires.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, have inaccurate data corrected, request that data be erased or that processing be restricted, object to processing, and receive the data you have provided in a machine-readable format.
If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that has already taken place.
Contact us at [email protected] if you want to exercise any of your rights. If you are not satisfied with how we process your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
